German language in trend worldwide

More and more people learn German: 15.4 Million children, young people and adults worldwide learn German. This is the result of the study “Deutsch als Fremdsprache weltweit. Datenerhebung 2015”, commissioned by the German Federal Foreign Office. According to the study, the interest in the German language is not only very high in Europe, but also in Asian countries, in Latin America, in Africa, as well as in the Near and Middle East.

Germany sees immigration increase in the first half of 2014

According to the latest survey of the Federal Statistical Office 667.000 people moved to Germany in the first half of 2014 – this means a rise of approximately 20 percent compared to the first half of 2013. For the fourth time in a row Germany has a double-digit growth rate in regards to immigration in the first half of a year.

BAMF’s Graduates Study: Every second foreign student stays in Germany after graduation

Foreign students from non-EU countries increasingly take the opportunity to start a career in Germany. According to the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) around 54 per cent of them remains in Germany after graduation.
