To support the Year of the German-American Friendship, the Federal Employment Agency would will like to present “Make it in Germany” with a series of online workshops around the topics: Working, living and successful job application in Germany. The online workshops will be hosted by our cooperation partners in the USA from October 5th 2018 to September 30th 2019. The presentations will be streamed live from Germany. Participants will be on the grounds to follow each presentation and thereafter be given room for questions and answers.
Online workshop I: The presentation will give an insight on German labor market and career opportunities. You will learn about entry and residence regulations, job prospects and specific challenges - for example the knowledge of the German language. We will give you information about the education and training system, as well as on recognition of foreign university degrees and professional qualifications.
Online workshop II: This part focuses on the application process. You will learn about how to apply for a job in Germany and what it takes to be well prepared for an interview.
Who can join our online workshops?
Qualified professionals and university graduates who are interested in working and living in Germany can attend this workshop at a Goethe Institute of their choice as mentioned in the list above. The information presented could be of interest to Americans of German heritage or with close ties to Germany. Basically everyone who is interested in Germany or taking up employment in Germany is eligible to attend.
