Welcome to the new issue of the Make it in Germany brief newsletter. In this feature, we are going to inform our newsletter subscribers about new content on our website and social media - in order for you to not miss anything in the future.
Updates on Make it in Germany
Are you a skilled professional with a foreign qualification that has only been partially recognised in Germany? In a new explainer video by Make it in Germany, you will learn how you can obtain full recognition of your qualifications in Germany through participating in qualification measures, such as courses and internships. Find out step by step which requirements you must meet.

An additional option for staying in Germany for the purpose of recognition is the recognition partnership. In this context, the skilled worker can go through the entire recognition procedure in Germany and simultaneously work for an employer. Watch our second new explainer video to learn what requirements must be met.

Our "Living in Germany" section shines in new splendour! In the "Settling" subsection, skilled workers from abroad can now acquire useful everyday knowledge in an FAQ format, for example how to separate waste or what the usual opening times of shops are. In addition, the subsections "Housing & mobility" as well as "Family life in Germany" were updated.

Are you a company that is a member of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Germany and wish to get to know international skilled workers in the fields of IT, electronics, metal, mechatronics, or hospitality & gastronomy? Look no further and register for the Recruiting Days of the pilot project "Hand in Hand for International Talents" (DIHK Service GmbH / Federal Employment Agency) from 10/09/2024 to 12/09/2024! In a speed-dating format, you have the opportunity of entering into dialogue with skilled workers participating in the project.

A new date for a Make it in Germany webinar for employers is now available online: on 16 July 2024, "Faire Anwerbung Pflege Deutschland" (Fair Recruitment in Nursing Germany), a quality seal for international placement of staff, will be presented. You will learn what fair and ethic recruitment of nursing staff is all about and what to look out for in placement agencies. The webinar will be held in German.

Discover interesting profiles of applicants in the new “Bewerberanzeiger” (Applicant Guide) of the Federal Employment Agency. Currently, the applicants are still abroad and wish to take up employment or start vocational training in Germany. The newest profiles are from the fields of healthcare, ICT, and engineering. The guide is available in German only.
