Welcome to the new issue of the Make it in Germany brief newsletter. In this new feature, we are going to inform our newsletter subscribers about new content on our website and social media - in order for you to not miss anything in the future.
Updates on Make it in Germany
On 1 June 2024, the new job search opportunity card, which is based on a point system, will come into force. Read all about the details in our visa section.

Make it in Germany has developed a new interactive tool which people interested in immigrating to Germany can use to test whether they meet the criteria for the opportunity card, or more specifically, whether they score enough points.

Many employers receive an increasing number of requests from recruitment agencies or they are already working with them to recruit suitable skilled workers for their company. In our new section “Recognise placement agencies”, employers can learn what they need to consider.

While looking for a new job in Germany, many foreign skilled workers also consult placement agencies. However, not every agency offers the same service quality. Therefore, you can also find a new section for skilled workers with information on what fair and sustainable placement is all about.

A new date for the Make it in Germany webinars for employers is now available online: on 29 May, we offer an introduction to “Intercultural Competencies for Employers”. Anjana Singh, who used teach as a coach for intercultural competencies at the Federal Foreign Office (among other institutions), will be this webinar’s expert.
