New: checklist ‘Fair recruitment abroad’
Fair recruitment benefits everyone. It lays the foundation for trustworthy cooperation and strengthens skilled workers’ commitment to their employers. But what does fair recruitment actually mean?
Our new checklist (available in German only) offers guidance on ethical standards, integration, and support structures. It was developed in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut and the DIHK project ‘Hand in Hand for International Talents’.

Digital application for the fast-track procedure for skilled workers
In more and more federal states, employers can now apply for the fast-track procedure for skilled workers centrally and digitally. This important update has been added to ‘Make it in Germany’: our existing overview of all central contact points for the procedure (the “central foreigners authorities”) has been revised and now includes direct links to the relevant online application portals.

Hand in Hand for International Talents: Recruiting Days
From 27 to 29 October 2025, companies registered with a Chamber of Industry and Commerce will once again have the opportunity to meet international professionals from the pilot project ‘Hand in Hand for International Talents’. The event takes place in a virtual speed dating format, allowing employers to connect with several candidates in short, focused conversations. This format offers a low-threshold opportunity to get to know potential employees and explore cooperation. The registration deadline is 21 October 2025.
