Your responsibilities

Together with your team, you will ensure the monitoring and effective management of price risks in international commodities trading

  • Ensuring and further developing the calculation and reporting of relevant price risks in the international commodities business
  • Managing derivative risk positions within defined risk mandates, in close coordination with the front office
  • Compliance with relevant internal TK and external reporting requirements (including EMIR)
  • Leading and developing a team of five FTEs; additionally, providing technical guidance to two decentralised risk controllers based abroad
  • Acting as an active sparring partner for the trading division regarding hedging instruments, trading strategies, products and portfolio development
  • Supporting and guiding the business in the implementation of new transactions and strategies, including coordination with TK AG’s central finance department as well as external brokers and banks
  • Identifying and realising opportunities for improvement through the use of digital tools (Power BI, artificial intelligence, etc.)

Your profile

  • A successfully completed degree in economics
  • Expert in hedging and, consequently, international trading of commodity derivative positions on the London Metal Exchange (LME)
  • Experienced in designing and implementing risk analyses and hedging strategies
  • Commercial mindset, strong stakeholder focus, hands-on approach and results-oriented attitude
  • Experience in effectively leading and developing teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex topics clearly
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • A personable manner with good communication skills in German and English
  • Empathy and a sense of humour
