Chamber of Crafts (HWK)

A Chamber of Crafts ("Handwerkskammer" or HWK for short) represents the interests of the trades in the form of a body governed by public law (Körperschaft des öffentlichen Rechts). All proprietors of a trade or similar business are members of the Chamber of Crafts for that given area.
