Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK)
German: Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK)
The Chamber of Industry and Commerce is the body representing the interests of trade and industry and is a corporation under public law (Körperschaft des öffentlichen Rechts). All businesses except the manual trades (which are covered by the Chambers of Trades, the Handwerkskammer) in a given area are members of the Chamber of Industry and Trade for that area.
