Trades and Crafts Code

The Trade and Crafts Code (HwO) regulates the exercise of skilled crafts in general business. It contains regulations on initial and further vocational education and training, master craftsman titles and the self-administration of the craft trades via the German Confederation of Skilled Crafts (ZDH) and the Chambers of Crafts. The Trade and Crafts Code can be found on the website of the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection.
