Semester fees

Semester fees are fees which all students have to pay per semester. It is made up of a contribution to administrative fees for enrolment and re-registering, a social contribution to the student union, which funds institutions such as canteens and cafeterias, residences and advisory services, and a contribution to the democratic institutions representing and serving the students. At many universities, it also includes a semester ticket for local public transport.
