Temporary employment / Subcontracted employment

German: Zeitarbeit/Leiharbeit

With a temporary employment contract, you as an employee conclude a contract with a temporary employment agency, and you are then working for a company currently in need of staff, generally for a limited period of time. For this reason, it is also called subcontracted employment. Temporary employment is especially supposed to be suitable for those entering the professional world or those re-entering the workforce. Thanks to low thresholds for employment, the employee can acquire work experience and qualifications, as well as establish themselves in the labour market.
