About the Opportunity

We are hiring on behalf of a leading banking institution based in Düsseldorf, Germany. With a strong focus on digital innovation and secure IT infrastructure, the bank is currently seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (m/f/d) to lead and coordinate complex IT initiatives across departments.

You will play a key role in bridging the gap between business and technology, ensuring high-quality delivery of projects in a regulated and fast-moving environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute IT projects across the full lifecycle – from initiation to delivery
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to meet project goals
  • Define project scope, timelines, resources, and budget in alignment with stakeholders
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and data security throughout all project phases
  • Facilitate communication between business units, IT teams, and senior management
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives and process automation within the bank

Your Profile

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business IT, or a related field
  • 4+ years of professional experience as an IT Project Manager, ideally in banking or financial services
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, application landscapes, and data security
  • Strong project management skills (Agile/Scrum and/or traditional methods)
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g. BaFin, GDPR, ISO standards) is a plus
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English (working language); German is a plus but not required
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications are an advantage
