Workplace assignments:
- Collaboration and qualification (PhD) within the project ‘Determination of the feed value of foliage from agroforestry and heat-tolerant plants for ruminants’
- Feed sampling and nutrient analyses
- Ration formulations for sheep
- Conducting feeding and balance trials with sheep, incl. sample collections
- Application of analytical methods, e.g. photometry, enzyme activity measurement, PCR, direct and indirect calorimetry
- Data analyses, statistical evaluation
- Result presentations at conferences
- Writing publication manuscripts and reports
Your training and skills:
- University degree in veterinary medicine, agricultural science or a comparable field of study
- Sound knowledge of animal nutrition, animal physiology and feed science
- Practical experience in working with ruminants
- Sense of responsibility, operational readiness, and physical resilience according to the area of duties
- Experience in using MS Office software[WS1]
- Commitment and ability to work in a team
- Good written and spoken English and German
