Aufgaben

The Technical Calculation department at the Lippstadt site develops advanced calculation methods and software used by design engineers across our global business unit for largediameter bearing design. To further strengthen and expand this expertise, we are seeking a dedicated trainee who will actively contribute to the enhancement of our design processes. During your 12month, individually tailored trainee program, you will gain a solid introduction to this diverse and innovative field. From day one, you will take on growing responsibility, shape your working environment, and contribute your own ideas to real projects.

  • You will familiarize yourself in detail with the implementation and structure of existing inhouse software tools.
  • You will contribute to the conceptual development and software implementation of methods for load processing and fatigue analysis for various applications of our largediameter bearings.
  • Independent programming, extension, and maintenance of relevant calculation and design tools will be at the core of your responsibilities.
  • Additionally, documentation, conducting training sessions, and providing support for users across the entire business unit will be part of your tasks.
  • You will also assist in carrying out and coordinating calculation projects with colleagues throughout the global corporate network.

Profil

  • You have completed a university degree in Computer Science, an Engineering discipline, or a closely related technical field.
  • You have excellent programming skills in C++,C# as well as experience with MATLAB.
  • Experience working across language boundaries, e.g. interfacing C++/C# with MATLAB, integrating compiled code or building crosslanguage toolchains.
  • Ability to translate engineering requirements into robust, maintainable software architectures.
  • Ideally, initial experience in the areas of load processing (signal preparation, Rainflow Counting) and fatigue analysis (FKM Guideline, VDI 2230).
  • Very good German and English language skills complete your profile.
