Manager - Research and Development

Your responsibilities

You lead and direct an international team and are in charge of the activities related to commissioning planning and site commissioning execution for industrial plants of different technologies.
In detail:
• Lead and direct the commissioning team hereby establishing a safe working environment
• Plan the commissioning activities in the bid and execution phase (OSH assessments, concepts and execution plans, scheduling, detailed planning, reviews, work break down structure, etc.)
• Manage undamp; supervise on site the activities related to pre-commissioning, cold commissioning, start-up/ramp-up and performance testing
• Work closely with various stakeholders such as Client’s representatives, Project Management, Site and Construction Management to provide commissioning related subject-matter expert advice

Your profile

• Several years of working experience in commissioning or plant operation
• You look forward to an international career in a technological field with global travels
• Generalistic understanding of mechanical and process engineering
• Profound knowledge of methods undamp; tools related to commissioning
• A degree in chemical, process or mechanical engineering is advantageous
• Used to work independently but team-minded in an international context
• Safety oriented mind-set
• Intercultural competence in combination with “a practical sense of handling challenges”
• Excellent English language skills
The job requires a large part of presence on international construction sites. A stay in Dortmund (GER) is only necessary to a lesser extent and therefore you do not have to change your place of residence in the long term.
