Your responsibilities

• You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining business report solutions using SAP BW (Business Warehouse).This includes creating data models, data flows and implementing data transformations to create accurate and insightful reports
• Your experience in integrating ERP source systems such as SAP will be used to extract data from these systems and upload it into the SAP BW Data Warehouse. You ensure data integrity, consistency and data synchronization between the systems
• Working with Power BI experts, you will integrate SAP BW data into Power BI to create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports. You will also be involved in integrating data from SAP BW with the Data Lake for storage and analysis
• Your comprehensive understanding of BI architecture plays a critical role in designing the data warehouse infrastructure, data modeling, and defining data governance standards. You contribute to the overall strategy of the BI landscape and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• With your extensive experience, you will take a leadership role on projects, managing and mentoring junior team members, provide technical expertise, and ensure the successful completion of projects
• You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions. This includes identifying data sources, data mappings and data transformation rules
• As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance of the SAP BW system, identifying bottlenecks and implementing performance optimization strategies to increase the efficiency of the system
• You will enforce data governance policies and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with privacy regulations and corporate policies

Your profile

• Your role as an SAP BW Senior Consultant requires a combination of technical expertise in SAP BW, ERP integrations, Power BI and Data Lake as well as strong business acumen to effectively meet the reporting needs of the business
• You will use your experience and leadership skills to drive successful BI initiatives and maximize the value of data for informed decision-making
• You have experience in creating reporting strategy for an organization which is technology agnostic e.g. SAP BW, Azure undamp; AWS
• You should be able to understand the overall reporting architecture from data extraction, replication, calculation on SAP backend and transformation to other frontends like Power BI, SAC
• You are able to understand the backend of SAP data set required for reporting. Understanding the functional side is a plus
• Experience of leading a reporting team with experience of developing a reporting strategy for an organization is a huge plus
• You have experience of working with external service providers
• You communicate very well in German and English and you are open to business travels based on business needs
• You are able to understand complex interrelationships and have a strong analytical mindset
• You have the drive to get things done through active stakeholder management
