For our Neumark plant, we are looking for a

Development Engineer (m/f/d) Distribution Transformers for Renewable Energy and Intelligent Grid Application

Main tasks:

• Basic development for oil-paper-isolated transformers from BU DT in various areas: materials, technology and process
• Product development according to customer and internal specifications with operational and strategic goals through cooperation with other departments
• Design verification and risk analysis e.g. by means of 2D/3D simulation of electrostatic field and thermal modelling
• Accompany and document prototyping, assessment of transformers both on site and in the factory with technical evaluation
• Analyzing and simulating the operating state of the transformers under various service and test conditions
• Technical support and creation of internal technical specifications
• Circular Economy and Life Circle Assessment
R&D project management activities:

• Bridging the gap in development cooperation with universities, industrial partners, suppliers and research institutes
• Coordinating, implementing and monitoring the defined development projects in BU DT taking into account the Group R+D Guideline
• Representation of the SBG and SGB-SMIT Group by contributing to technical articles and papers at international conferences

Your profile:

• Completed university degree in electrical engineering, physics or industrial engineering or equivalent qualification
• Technical and process-orientated understanding and recognition of business contexts
• Written and spoken English
• Confident handling of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• User knowledge of SAP R/3 and S4Hana desirable
• Communication skills and confident demeanor
