The German International Placement Service (ZAV) and EURES Italy, together with the Munich Employment Agencies, are offering 20 places for the following project:

Living and Working in Germany

Project to work as an educator in public nursery schools in and around Munich

What are the requirements for participants?

• Holding a professional qualification in Early Childhood Education

• Laurea scienze dell’Educazione (L19)

• Laurea scienze dell’Educazione e della Formazione (L19)

• Residence + nationality of an EU member state or EU permanent residence permit (in case of citizenship of a third country)

• Willingness to learn German intensively in Italy up to level A2

• Willingness to continue learning German for 12 months in Germany in order to obtain a German B2 certificate (this certificate will be necessary to continue the project)

• Later on selected candidates will further need to present

o a proof of a current criminal record certificate

o a vaccination against measles (or immunity to it) and

o an instruction according to the Infection Protection Act

• Willingness to live and work in Germany for a long time

There are many advantages for the participants in the project:

• Permanent employment contract with a 6 month probationary period in a nursery school in the city or district of Munich with starting date as of February 1st, 2026

• A good salary from € 3.100 and € 3.300 per month before taxes in the first half of the year. Later, the salary rises to between € 3.400 and € 3.800 (is dependent on proven professional experience)

• Affordable accommodation at least for the first 6 months – serving as starting point to search for an own appartment later on

• Information and support on applying for EURES financial aid for a preparatory German course still in Italy up to German level A2

• German language courses in Munich up to German level B2 financed by the city or district of Munich and the German Employment Agency (parallel to work)

• Continuous training in the various pedagogical concepts. There is a wide range of in-house trainings and further trainings on offer

• Employer is taking care of the necessary aspects of integration

• Offer of wide range of leisure activities and large network of Italians already living in and around Munich

• An online information event will be held on 4th June 2025 from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. with German/Italian translation

• Online job interviews are intended for the first half of July 2025 and a visit of the employer for selected candidates is intended for mid/end of October 2025

EURES mobility grants can be applied for to cover a part of the costs for travel to interviews, the German language course in Italy, the move to Germany or expenses related to recognition of the degree (if the requirements are met)
