About the Research Institute: 

The IRIS Institute (gGmbH) is an applied research organization creating predictive spatial models for renewable energy siting, power grid capacities, and environmental land resilience across Germany.

Your Role & Key Tasks: 

You will analyze and validate spatial resilience outputs and energy location clusters generated by our data engine. You will create clear, interactive map presentations and automated visual factsheets using Web-GIS and dashboarding tools, acting as a vital communication link between technical data engineering and practical research applications. 

Candidate Profile & Qualifications: 

We look for candidates with a degree in Spatial Planning, Geography, Industrial Engineering, Real Estate, Geoinformatics, or related fields. You should have working familiarity or a strong interest in GIS tools (such as QGIS), modern Web-GIS platforms (Felt, Kepler.gl), or BI reporting tools, paired with strong analytical capabilities and fluent English.
