Fachliche und persönliche Einstellungsvoraussetzungen:

- Überdurchschnittlich abgeschlossenes Universitätsstudium (Master oder vergleichbar) in der Informatik / Wirtschaftsinformatik / Mathematik / Wirtschaftsmathematik / Wirtschaftswissenschaften / Wirtschaftsingenieurwissenschaften
- Interesse an der Bearbeitung praxisrelevanter Forschungsprobleme
- Erwünscht sind Kenntnisse der Implementierung und praktischen Validierung spezieller Optimierungsverfahren
- Gute englische Sprachkenntnisse erforderlich
- Interesse an nationalen und internationalen Forschungs- und Praxiskontakten
- Bereitschaft zur Promotion

Aufgaben und Anforderungen:

- Mitwirkung in der Lehre (im Umfang von maximal 4 LVS) sowie bei Prüfungen
- Erstellung einer Dissertation
- Mitarbeit in Forschungsprojekten zusammen mit Universitäts- und/oder Praxispartner*innen

Es handelt sich um eine Qualifizierungsstelle im Sinne des Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetzes (WissZeitVG), die zur Förderung eines Promotionsverfahrens dient. Die Stelle ist befristet für die Dauer des Promotionsverfahrens, jedoch vorerst bis zu 3 Jahren, zu besetzen. Eine Verlängerung zum Abschluss der Promotion ist innerhalb der Befristungsgrenzen des WissZeitVG ggf. möglich.

the position of

Graduate Research Assistant/Associate (Ph.D. Position)

Full-time (100% of the standard full-time working hours)

Salary: Pay Grade E 13 TV-L

Professional and Personal Requirements:

- A successfully completed graduate degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) with above average grades in Computer Science / Business Computing / Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Business and Economics / Industrial or Business Engineering
- Knowledge of the implementation and practical validation of special optimization processes
- An interest in tackling practical and relevant research questions
- Good knowledge of written and oral English
- An interest in developing, maintaining and expanding national and international networks of
contacts in academia and the business world
- Willingness to pursue doctoral studies (preparation of a Ph.D. thesis)

Duties and Responsibilities:

- A contribution to academic teaching (a maximum of 4 teaching hours per week) as well as assistance in the preparation and execution of examinations
- The preparation of a PhD-thesis
- Cooperation within the framework of research projects with partners from academic and/or the business world

This position is intended to allow the concurrent acquisition of further qualifications in accordance with the Law on Fixed-Term Employment Contracts in Higher Education and Research (WissZeitVG), by supporting successful applicants in their doctoral studies. The vacancy shall be available for the length of the Ph.D. examination procedure; however, it shall initially be limited to a fixed term of three years. lf necessary, an extension of the contract to allow for the completion of the doctoral examination procedure is possible within the time limits stipulated by the Law on Fixed-Term Employment Contracts in Higher Education and Research (WissZeitVG).
