Application Development Engineer

We are looking for an Application Development Engineer to support our Engineering team.

What you will be doing (after extensive training)

• Advise our global customers on technical adhesive topics
• As part of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for a designated application field, working hands-on with customers in developing customized adhesive solutions
• Lead serial testing to evaluate the suitability of adhesives for each respective project and work closely with the laboratory
• Work with Sales, Product Management and Research & Development to generate new application ideas and take technical responsibility for long-term strategic development projects
• Analyze and evaluate test results and present them both internally and externally

Core requirements

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Natural Sciences, like Material Sciences or Physics, or any related field. Ideally you already have some professional experience
• Enthusiasm for engineering issues and the development of process solutions
• Ability to work both in a team environment and across departments with excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Willingness to travel internationally to visit customers and work with our colleagues abroad
• Very good written and spoken English ability
