At the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, Institute of Philosophy, the Junior Professorship in Philosophy of Science (Jun.-Prof. Enno Fischer) offers a position as

Research Associate / PhD Student (m/f/x)
in Philosophy of Science

(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting at the earliest possible date. The position comprises 50% of the fulltime weekly hours and is limited to 3 years. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The position aims at obtaining further academic qualification (usually PhD).

Tasks:

-          Independent scientific research in philosophy of science leading to a PhD thesis
-          teaching one course according HSDAVO
-          academic collaboration at the Junior Professorship in Philosophy of Science
-          contributing to administrative tasks.

Requirements:

-          completed university degree (M.A./M.Sc. level)
-          proficiency in English or German
-          teamwork, communication skills, and initiative
-          interest in interdisciplinary work.
