What you’ll do
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality code, implementing best practices, and contributing to the overall architecture and design of our Android applications. You’ll play a critical role in developing and maintaining our Android applications using Kotlin, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and reliability. You can expect to:
- Help define and implement the application architecture, following clean architecture principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to conceive and deliver new features and enhancements
- Work closely with the UI/UX designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces
- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code following object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and best practices
- Implement unit tests and contribute to a test-driven development (TDD) approach to ensure code quality and reliability
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, quality, and performance
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development and share knowledge with the team We approach engineering through the following principles: Testing by default, always CI/CD, data and automation-centered, with security at the core. It’s paramount for us to empower our engineers to make their own calls about the tools and technologies that best address the problems they are trying to solve.
What you’ll bring
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and Clean Code principles.
- Proficiency in using Android toolkits and APIs, including Jetpack Compose, Dagger, and Testing frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services integration.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including version control (e.g., Git), code review, and continuous integration.
- Demonstrated ability to write well-structured, modular, and maintainable code.
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) is highly valued.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
